With Dean Anderson
Join Friends of Sears Island for a Tai Chi class on the beach with Dean Anderson, Tuesday, September 5th from 4:00-5:00pm. Dean has been practicing Tai Chi for the past ten years. Tai Chi practice on a regular basis has helped improve balance, relaxation, and self-awareness. The gentle and slow movements are fun to coordinate as a group and meditative when practicing alone. Tai Chi Chuan has been practiced in China for centuries and the United States for decades. This class is for anyone able to walk on the beach.
This event is free and open to the public. Sears Island is on Sears Island Road off Route 1 just east of Searsport. Participants should park along the causeway at the end of the road and meet at the kiosk near the island gate by 4:00pm. Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring a beach towel and water. Please no pets for this event.
